News ArticleHILCO TO CLOSE TWO SOUTHERN FAMILY MARKETS STORES
Hilco Merchant Resources has been engaged to close two Southern Family Markets grocery stores, one in Huntsville and the second in Madison, AL. The sales will begin on March 10, and are expected to conclude early in April.
An affiliate of C&S Wholesale Grocers in Keene, N.H., Birmingham-based Southern Family operates the Bruno's, Food World, Piggly Wiggly, Southern Family Markets and SFM Liquor Stores chains. The company operates 64 grocery stores and 10 liquor stores located in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and Florida. The Southern Family Markets stores in Huntsville and Madison opened in 2005.
